• Had a good hike at Windsor Nature Park today! 🌿🥾 The trail was quite challenging, with plenty of ups and downs and uneven terrain, but we completed the whole route in about an hour.

It was a great combination of nature and exercise—a good workout while enjoying the greenery and beautiful surroundings at the same time!

  • Day One

When we arrived in Bangkok, it was only about 9am plus. We took the 6.50am flight to Bangkok. We spent the morning shopping around CentralWorld and had lunch at BHC. We absolutely loved the Korean fried chicken—it was super yummy! I also bought my favourite YOLK egg tart from the mall. I had tried it on my previous trip and remembered how delicious it was, so I had to get it again. It was just as good as I remembered!

At around 3pm, we checked into Centara Grand, a 55-storey flagship hotel in central Bangkok that is directly connected to the CentralWorld shopping complex and Bangkok Convention Centre. The room even had a weighing machine, and honestly, any hotel room with a weighing machine never fails to impress me! 😂 CentralWorld is the 9th largest shopping mall in the world, no wonder we had to take two days to finish shopping the mall, staying next to the mall is a great choice.

    Day Two

After enjoying a heavy but yummy hotel buffet breakfast—as usual, we love hotel buffet breakfasts!—we walked to Lumpini Park. The park is a peaceful green oasis in the heart of Bangkok, with beautiful gardens, a large lake, and walking and jogging paths. It was the perfect place to walk and burn off some of the calories from our breakfast!

We spent about an hour walking around the park and admiring the scenery before making our way to the nearby Central Park shopping mall. However, the weather was hot and humid, so getting there was quite tiring.

Central Park is more of a luxury shopping mall, so we didn’t spend too much time there. The shops were filled with rather expensive things, and there wasn’t really much that caught our attention.

After that, we headed back to CentralWorld for lunch at Nara Thai Cuisine. I had always wanted to try tom yum soup in Thailand, and I have to say, I think tom yum soup in Thailand tastes the best! 😋

Later, we decided to queue for a bakery that we had noticed the day before. There had been a really long queue, so naturally, we became curious and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Unfortunately, we didn’t find the bread particularly tasty. We were left wondering why there was such a long queue in the first place! 😂 I think it could be that it is newly opened.

    Day Three

On the third day, we continued exploring and shopping at CentralWorld. We also went to the huge supermarket to buy some tibits and souvenirs to bring home.

For lunch, we ate at Kub Kao’ Kub Pla. The food was affordable and delicious, and no wonder there was always a long queue outside!

    Day Four

We had an early 9.20am flight back to Singapore, so there wasn’t much time to do anything. We simply did some last-minute shopping at the airport before boarding our flight home.

Although we didn’t do a lot of sightseeing or activities on this trip, it was still a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Sometimes, a holiday doesn’t have to be packed with activities. Shopping, eating good food, enjoying a comfortable hotel and taking things at a slower pace can be just as nice! ❤️

  • We went to the Southern Ridges Forest Trail today and explored the 1.3km-long Elevated Walkway, which takes you right up to eye level with the forest canopy.🌿🌳

We didn’t walk for too long as we had to head for lunch with Dash. We also started a little later than usual after spending the morning cleaning the house. It was a relaxing walk across the bridges, surrounded by beautiful greenery and lots of nature. A short but refreshing nature escape! 😊
